i know that basketball is just a game and i shouldn't let my favourite team losing effect me. but i am SO SAD! JJ Reddick is a local boy and it was his last tournament and his dream died. i feel for him.

hi :) i am *currently* working as a counselor in the pulaski county public schools for at-risk middle schoolers. i love my job. i am also a photographer. i shoot weddings, free-lance for the Roanoke Times and whatever else catches my eye . i love (LOVE!!) coffee, eating sushi, taking pictures, the ocean, jazz, Melbourne, Australia and walking around wide-eyed around New York. i also lived in australia for a year and a half. my other favorite places are christchurch, new zealand and santa barbara, CA. next possible destinations may include: costa rica, hawaii and south africa. My dream is to teach kids in disadvantaged communities around the world how to document the beauty in their lives through taking pictures. I'd like to compile a book of these photos, curate a gallery and use these profits to help the kids receive education as well as contribute to the needs in their community. dying dreams are so hard. I grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with an Olympic Training Center. For many of my friends..the dream eventually died or faded or was stripped away...for only a select few did it come alive in the form of an Olympic experience.
