so i have an impending snow day, which means anything i was intending to do tonight (i.e. edit photos, make slideshow for prospective client. eek!) i will do tomorrow. however....someone just mentioned 2am sledding. and i am tempted. but here's to having MUCH FUN:

i am really missing NYC right now so here are a few cheer-me-ups:

4. new understanding (shallow, but still understanding) about this season of my life. Though, i feel all too often bored, alone and uninspired, i don't have to be in "waiting mode," hoping for something new, better or exciting to happen. But every season has it's purpose. Maybe i've lost mine in disappointment, but the Lord promises that those who wait will mount up like eagles and they will run without growing weary. So, i am a little more motivated to discover how i am to mount up like an eagle and what it means to run. And even though it seems like i am waiting to see where i will end up a year from now, i will seek to live today, this week, this year on purpose with His purposes for my life.

consistency is challenging for me, but i will persevere! here are today's 3 things that i am thankful for...
1. the patience of Kim, Kailee and Heather as i try to perfect my "model face" --no photos of that any time soon!
2. lazy saturday to relax, be productive, eat breakfast at 1:30, and spend time with good friends
3. kim's chicken soup, thanks kim!

2. patience to tolerate my teenage female clients, which could have only come from God
3. "please forgive me..." texts from roommates, which prompted me to get my own heart in the spirit. :)

so, i'm not in the best of moods because i've been at the computer most of the evening pouring over photoshop for a client's album and i'm starving, but that's okay. it's work. that's why they call it "work," not "play." but i lam fortunate enough to enjoy my work (both means of employment) most of the time. i like this shot.

1. revelatory mtg. :) apparently i have "big feet." i am growing in my "seeing" gift.
2. it feels like winter, so it may snow, which means maybe a 1 hour delay or snow day!

4. good God chats at DMS. i love my job!

my friend linda left for rwanda this week for a month. hopefully i will be going with her next time she goes this summer. this is an image from a few summer's ago when i was photographing Bantu refugees from Somalia.
